About Us

Main Street Media of Tennessee publishes eight weekly newspapers, one magazine, ten websites and several social media pages.

The company operates in Middle Tennessee, one of most dynamic areas of the country. Almost all of Main Street Media of Tennessee’s products are distributed in the fast growing counties adjacent to Nashville’s Davidson County – Rutherford, Wilson, Sumner and Robertson counties.

Wilson County is home to 120,000 people. According to the US Census Bureau in 2010, Wilson is the fastest growing county in Tennessee and the 29th fastest growing in the US. Lebanon and Mt. Juliet are the largest cities in the county.

Sumner County is the 5th fastest growing county in the state and has 165,000 residents. Gallatin and Hendersonville are the two largest cities in the county.

Robertson County has a population of 70,000 and is home to many communities including Springfield and White House. The county has seen its population skyrocket 23% since 2000.

Rutherford County is closing in on 300,000 people and is one of the fastest growing counties in the country. Murfreesboro, the county seat, has almost half of the county’s population and is home to the largest university in the state.

Main Street Media of Tennessee’s mission is to provide readers with unique local news and information that is relevant and impacts their daily lives. Therefore, Main Street Media of Tennessee’s products are exclusively local. While large news organizations report on world, national and state news, Main Street Media of Tennessee focuses on events happening in the communities they serve.

Many people believe that newspapers are going away. The fact is bad newspapers will go away. But good newspapers, that focus on local community journalism, local news, local sports and local people have a bright future.

The company is locally owned and operated and its employees live and work in their communities.  All decisions are made locally, meaning Main Street Media of Tennessee is, first and foremost, focused on how to help improve the quality of life in its communities. Main Street Media of Tennessee provides support to more than 50 non-profit organizations and its employees volunteer their time to work in their communities.

Main Street Media of Tennessee cultivates local relationships in the areas it serves. On a daily basis they talk to readers, advertisers, newsmakers and business leaders on ways to improve their newspapers. They listen, and local input is critical to their success.
