The Cheatham County School Board recognized at its July 7 meeting students and student volunteers who participated in the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando during June.
Seth Hendrix won two gold medals and two silver medals in powerlifting.
Alexis Stewart and Tasha Kosinski won a gold medal in unified doubles bowling and a silver medal in unified team bowling. Alexis also earned a gold medal in the individual bowling competition.
Haley Romines and Calli Copeland joined Team Tennessee as part of the Youth Leadership Experience, which included opportunities in running Olympic town; helping with the young athlete program; and participating in the media by interviewing athletes and teams for social media.
