Five Wilson Co. student-athletes hold signing ceremonies

Mt. Juliet tennis standout Eyana Badio

A Mt. Juliet High tennis player and four Wilson Central football players from the graduating Class of 2024 held signing ceremonies on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

MJHS Lady Bear tennis standout Eyana Badio will be attending the University of Scranton, an NCAA Division III institution in Scranton, PA. Her signing ceremony was held in the Mt. Juliet High gymnasium.

The Wilson Central indoor practice facility was the site of Wednesday’s ceremony that saw four players sign on the dotted line.

Wide receiver JuJu Davis signed with Carson-Newman University, an NCAA Division II program in Jefferson City. The Eagles compete in the South Atlantic Conference.

Linebacker Ethan Kimes inked with Kentucky Wesleyan College located in Owensboro. The Panthers are an NCAA Division II program that competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

Offensive lineman Owen Borba will be staying close to home after signing with Tennessee State University. The Big Blue Tigers are an NCAA Division I program, competing in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Athlete Lyrik Blevins will be attending Mount Saint Joseph’s University, an NCAA Division III program that plays in the Heartland Athletic Conference and is located in Cincinnati, OH.
