Woman of Wilson: Adeline Julie Bee-Polson

Adeline Julie Bee-Polson, who many people know as Julie, has worked in the dental field for over 30 years.

Bee-Polson held a state license as a Registered Dental Assistant in California; however, when she moved to Tennessee in 2020 the staff at Patriot Dental in Lebanon convinced her to obtain another state license in her new home.

Although she is retired from her work as an RDA, Bee-Polson occasionally fills in at the office.

“I love helping people, educating them about their dental needs and helping them feel better,” she said.

Bee-Polson was born in Michigan; however, her father was in the Air Force for 27 years – moving the family to Okinawa, Arizona and California – where she resided before moving to Wilson County three years ago. She and her husband, Allen, have been married for seven years. They met 11 years ago on a Harley ride to Monterey, Calif.

“I hopped on the back of his bike,” she shared with a laugh.

She said that he has two children and two grandchildren. She loves volunteering and helping the community. She is a member of Crossroads Church, the FCE group in Wilson County and volunteers to help with the voting, Joseph’s Storehouse and the Wilson County Fair.

When she isn’t donating her time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and camping.

“Since my husband and I moved to Tennessee we love exploring the natural parks and hiking the various waterfalls, as well as taking the Harley out on back roads to find some great barbecue or small Mom and Pops’ hideaways,” she added.

The woman she admires most is Lyn Williams.

“She is an Edward Jones agent who is very knowledgeable and gives back to her community in several ways,” Bee-Polson said. “She is very involved and has a big heart.”
