The Fairview Fire Department responded to a call about a commercial building fire last Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at around 1:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Fairview Boulevard.
Arriving on the scene, emergency crews observed an active fire with visible flames at Fairview Small Engines repair shop.
Fairview Engine, Tanker, Ladder, Rescue and Car 31 responded to the scene and began working to contain the fire and prevent further extension of the fire to the rest of the building and the nearby businesses.
The emergency situation required officials to shut down that section of Fairview Boulevard in both directions for the duration of the incident. The road closure generated an extensive traffic disruption and detours onto side streets.
No serious injuries were reported. However, the Fairview Fire Department did advise that the repair shop suffered extensive damage. The source of the fire was not available at press time.
Fairview Fire Station 31 was assisted by Williamson Health Medic 4 and Williamson County Fire/Rescue.
