Wide receiver & kick/punt returner

N. MT. JULIET – You call him a Swiss Army Knife or a jack of all trades, but come Feb. 1, you can call Green Hill’s Kaleb Carver a Greyhound.

Carver, voted Region 5-5A football’s Most Versatile Player in 2022, verbally committed to NCAA Division II University of Indianapolis over the weekend and plans to ink with the Great Lakes Valley Athletic Conference program on National Signing Day.

Carver, a three-year starter for the Hawks, finished the 2022 season with 752 receiving yards, 307 yard rushing and 348 yards on kickoff and punt returns.

All told, he scored 17 touchdowns for Coach Josh Crouch who called his senior, “the best wide receiver in the state and one of the best I’ve ever coached.”

One of his more memorable games came during his junior year in 2021 when he scored 5 touchdowns on 5 touches in a 56-27 Week Six home win over White County.

In that Region 5-5A contest, Carver caught touchdown passes of 65, 16 and 28 yards; ran once for a 56-yard touchdown and returned a kickoff 76 yards for another score – piling up 238 all-purpose yards.
