Local Tennessee Firearms Association chapter honors two veterans

May is National Military Appreciation Month, and the Robertson County Chapter of the Tennessee Firearms Association recognized two outstanding local veterans at their monthly dinner on Monday, May 8 at the American Legion Post 45 in Greenbrier.

John C. (Chris) Orndorff, a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, and Hugh Nichols, a well-respected Staff Sgt. with the United States Marine Corps and past Post Commander of the American Legion Post 45, are two veterans who you will see consistently helping out wherever they are needed throughout Robertson County. Both gentlemen are not only active with many organizations like the Tennessee Firearms Association, RCRP, the American Legion, community festivals, and parades, but they are both very active with their churches teaching Bible Studies and working with children. Both have been married to their wives for over 40 years.

Presentations were made to the veterans by Steve Allbrooks from Congressman Mark Green’s office, Representative Sabi “Doc” Kumar, and Chapter Chairman of the TFA Stephen Astier.

The Robertson County Chapter of the Tennessee Firearms Association gathers every second Monday of the Month at 6:00 P.M. at the American Legion Post 45 in Greenbrier, Tennessee.  Free admission and all ages welcome. For more information visit: www.tennesseefirearms.com
