Titans swap late pick for Leroy Watson

The Tennessee Titans added another player to their soon-to-be-revamped offensive line on Friday, acquiring offensive tackle Leroy Watson from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for a seventh-round pick in this year’s draft.

Leroy Watson

Watson was a tight end in college at Texas-Antonio, but has been a tackle in the NFL, playing in seven games with the Browns last season where he was coached by Titans offensive line coach Bill Callahan.

Watson was also on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad in 2022, where current Titans GM Ran Carthon worked before being hired in Tennessee last year.

Watson figures to at least be in the mix for depth at the tackle position. The Titans are likely to fix the left tackle position within the first two rounds of the draft. At right tackle, they currently have holdovers Nicholas Petit-Frere and Jaelyn Duncan as possibilities there along with Dillon Radunz and Saddiq Charles, both of whom figure in the mix at right guard as well.

The Browns receive the 227th overall pick in the draft in exchange for Watson, leaving Tennessee with seven picks in the draft, which begins April 25.
