Free Energy Conservation kits are now available through Highland Rim Economic Corporation. Weatherization and reduction of energy expenses are top priorities among home owners. Highland Rim is pleased to offer a program that will increase energy efficiency and reduce utility costs for low income Dickson County residents.
Energy conservation kits are funded through the Community Service Block Grant and include the following items: LED dimmable light bulbs, a low flow showerhead, rope caulk and foam outlet switch insulating gaskets, a faucet aerator, toilet tank bank, air filter whistle and energy savings informational booklet. Kits are made available to income eligible residents through an application process and are mailed directly to the client. Applicants must provide proof of current household income, Social Security cards for all household members and a 12 month history of electricity usage. For complete program details or to schedule an appointment for the energy conservation kit, residents may contact the Highland Rim Dickson County Neighborhood Service Center at (615)441-1153.
