Just over a month ago, first-year White House Heritage head coach Scott Murray sat back in his office and said to himself, “I think we can be contenders for a region championship when November rolls around.”

To some, that would have been a laughable thought. The Patriots are a year removed from a 1-9 season and sit on their third head coach in three seasons. But Murray knew the talent and culture that was brewing in his locker room, and after four weeks of play his once far-fetched idea could become a reality.
